The C2700 is another novelty in the line of acclaimed McIntosh tube preamplifiers . In addition to the proven topology of tube circuits , it is also equipped with the advanced technology of the McIntosh DA2 digital audio module , which combines the most modern possibilities of digital music with proven tube performance. The DA2 module is the successor to the popular digital one DA1 audio module and offers an expanded feature set : 7 digital inputs including the same connections as the DA1 (2 coaxial, 2 optical, 1 USB and 1 MCT ) plus a new HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) connection . So you can connect TVs with compatible HDMI output (ARC) to C2700 and enjoy TV sound through your home audio system. Popular multi-channel audio formats Dolby and DTS are supported , professionally converted to two-channel audio. The C2700 remote control can control the power and volume of the TV if CEC communication is enabled in both the preamplifier and the TV .
