The MA252 integrated amplifier is McIntosh ‘s first hybrid integrated amplifier . It took retro design elements from the legendary McIntosh MC275 tube amplifier .

The MA252 combines the best of tube design and solid state construction to create an amplifier that is both visually and sonically stunning. The preamplifier stage uses two 12AX7 and two 12AT7 vacuum tubes housed inside stylish protective grids ;

The amplifier delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohm speakers, or 160 watts per channel into 4 ohm speakers. The complete analog solution comes with 2 unbalanced , 1 symmetrical and 1 gramophone input for portable with moving magnet. It also includes a subwoofer output for emphasizing low frequencies and an even more intense music experience .
