The smaller of the pair of 3.5 -way column speakers in the Homage Tradition collection , the Serafino Tradition is completely new. It is named after Sunctus Serafini (1699 – 1758), who was a master violinist and started with Nicola Amati. Floor standing 3.5 band system with fully para-aperiodic ventilated box with Stealth Ultraflex System technology looks impressive. The treble is covered by the same H28 XTR-04 driver as the Guarneri. However, a separate M15 XTR-04 midrange driver with a diameter of 150 mm and two W18XTR -08 woofers from the Sonus faber workshop with a 180 mm diaphragm with a sandwich structure were added. Crossovers are tuned to dividing frequencies of 80 Hz – 250 Hz – 2500 Hz and the frequency response reaches an excellent 30 Hz – 35 kHz. The speaker ‘s weight of 52 kg indicates that it is a decent piece of audio equipment. The recommended power of the amplifier up to 4 Ohm is 80-350 W, so with a pair of such handsome ones you can sound even a decent party. Two designs are available . Red is from traditional walnut wood with black moldings, combined with black polished aluminum and black leather (similar to the flagships Aida , Lilium and Il Cremonese). The dark brown version of wenge is used for the first time in Sonus faber speakers – the light slats are made of maple wood, complemented by polished aluminum and brown leather.
